Another Sunday Afternoon

I had my first experience teaching Relief Society today. Oh my heck was I nervous. The funny thing is my heart wasn't really pounding very hard, I just felt like I couldn't really breathe. I also felt as though I couldn't catch my breathe when I was talking. After about ten minutes of being up in the front, however, I started to relax. The lesson was from Todd D Christophersons talk in Conference called The Power of Covenants. I mostly shared my thoughts about how covenants bring us closer to God which gives us the Power that we need to overcome temptations. The world tells us that commandments and covenants make life harder to live. But anyone who has lived the commandments and lives by thier covenants can testify that they make life easier and bring us closer to God.
I was really worried about not being able to fill the entire time with my lesson, but it all worked out, and it was actually kinda fun. I am nervous that I won't have anything new to add to the next lesson that I have to teach, but I am sure that it will be fine.
Joe also got set apart for the Scout Committee, but even more exciting my dad came to our ward and ordained Joe to the office of an Priest today. So in just a couple of months Joe will be ordained to the Melchezidek preisthood. I am so proud of Joe and all the things he has done. He is a good example! Anyway time for a Sunday Afternoon nap. In six more weeks I don't know if I will be able to get many more Sunday naps.
