So as I have mentioned in the last few posts that I have had a few hard couple weeks. This last weekend was probably the most emotional, and depressing weekend I have ever had. I can honestly say I have never felt the way I did this weekend, and it was hard for me. But throughout the weekend I found little reminders of why life is so good. My biggest tender mercy came from my nephew, McCoy. He is the sweetest boy and I felt my Fathers love for me when he looked up at me and said "Aunt Renee, I love you." It was exactly what I needed! I was able to spend a lot of time at home with McCoy, we went outside and flew kites and ran around the yard. Even though I first was playing with him to make him happy, in the end, it was what I needed the most to make me happy. As my sister in law left that evening she said a big thank you to me for playing with the kids, little did she know that for me it was much more of a blessing than it was fun for them. I find it amazing that my family happened to show up that day, I know the Lord knew that it would make me happy, it was yet another testimony building experience that Heavenly Father always knows what is good for us and he will help us when we need it, often in unexpected ways.
Things are starting to look up for me. I was able to have a long discussion with a person that I have loved dearly, I don't know how He felt about it, but for me it was very needed, appreciated. I am looking forward to Summer and what it holds, next year I hope that I will be moving in a better direction as far as my career is concerned. I desperately feel like I need to move quickly through school so that I can move forward with my life. I feel that this summer will have a huge part in determining my future, this to me is scary and exciting, but I look forward to it.
